A few weekends ago I was a
bridesmaid in a wedding for a friend from high school. The day started a little shaky with a big
storm that moved thru but ended up being a gorgeous day just in time for
photos. It was a fun weekend; I love all
things wedding but forgot how tiring they can be! We are definitely happy for our friends Kelsey and Biff, they are quite the perfect match for each other, no doubting that! Awesome wedding weekend overall!
What else have we been up
to?? Well way back on Valentine’s Day
this year, I had surprised Aaron with tickets to a Coldplay concert up in
Minneapolis and that weekend finally rolled around! We are HUGE Coldplay fans. This was our 2nd
Coldplay concert; they seriously put on the BEST concerts, great time!
Everyone was given these bracelets that light up during the concert, pretty sweet |
Aaron and I |
They did this last time with the big beach balls, it's pretty cool |
Confetti, big beach balls and good music really got the vibe going |
Towards the end, the band came out into the crowd and preformed right next to us! |
While up in Minneapolis we
did an IKEA raid and scored some good stuff. All I could think about all week leading up
to our trip was eating at IKEA. Their
macaroni and cheese is out of this world! It
was so scrumptious, we returned the next day just to have lunch at IKEA again and I
tried to refrain myself this time from ordering one of everything so I indulged
in one heaping plate of mac and cheese. Pretty much made my day.
It was a good weekend, just
Aaron and I but short at the same time as we only stayed one night so that we
wouldn’t have to board Charley for 2 nights.
I just have a hard time leaving her behind!
What else? Well Aaron and I have been taking up spinning
class again at our gym. We found out one
of our friends is an instructor and it’s quite the brutal spin class! It’s good for us though to get back into
this. Aaron, myself and another friend are getting
ready to start Crossfit in a week; we’ve committed to trying it out for a
month. Aaron has talked us into
doing the 5 am class… PUKE. I’ll try it
and see how it goes… I told him no promises that I’m going to make every class
but I’ll give it my best shot.
We also went down last weekend with some friends to Kansas City. That weekend is kind of
what we called our last summer hurrah. The
Country Club Plaza and The Power and Light District was a good way to wrap up
the summer.
So what’s on the agenda
coming up for us? My nephew’s baptism, a
Norah Jones concert, a special getaway is planned for our
anniversary, a handful of weddings…so looking forward to what’s to come! I’m actually getting the fall season bug, I
think I’m ready for football season, bonfires, and cooler temps. I’m not ready for winter though, but do think
I’m getting the itch for pumpkin bars and crunchy leaves on the ground!
